Last Post of 2010 .

You went hiking with some friends, took off on your own for a while, and got lost.

You've wandered around all day looking for your friends, but you can't find them anywhere.

What is the first thing you do? Have you brought food, water, and maps along, or are you the freewheeling type who just comes as you are? What thoughts are going through your head? How do you feel? Write about the situation.

 

 The first thing I would do is try to make a fire because I have no clue how long I am going to be out there and maybe someone would see it. I would also try my cell phone, but most likely there will not be any service. Another I would do is possibly start to make a shelter in case I am there all night.

 

 Yes I have brought food, water, and maps along, but there are with my friends. So unfortunately I have nothing to eat or drink, also nothing to look at to see which way to go. I guess I will have to go searching for food and water. Maybe I could find something to make a compass with because I think I may remember which way to go.

 

 I am so stupid for going off on my own, especially with no maps, food or water. Also I have no way of communicating with anyone. I really wish I could find my friends. Such and idiot. I wonder if my friends are looking for me? I'd sure hope so because maybe THEY can find ME. I am starving! If only I had something to snack on. I might as well go look for some hing to munch on while I am not doing anything.

 

 I feel sick to my stomach. No food, no shelter, no friends or family, and also nothing to find m way home. I also feel like and idiot like seriously, who goes off on there own with not a thing to spare and gets lost. A miracle would be amazing at the moment. Come on ! Find me please. I should be looking for you guys but I looked all day since I left them. If they are not looking for me, they sure aren't good friends. I could be getting eaten by a bear while there are all at home in there nice, cozy beds. Some friends I have. I am sort of scared right now; it's really dark and I hear ruffling in the trees and I have no weapons in case whatever it is tries to attack me. 

 

 I would just like to say, if I ever go on a hiking trip I will NOT leave my friends, and I will not one of my friends leave the group on it's own. I NEVER want to be in this kind of situation. I would be scared and probably frustrated. I will also make sure to bring enough of everything for everyone; and possibly a couple of maps, just in case. That is my advice to you. When you are hiking, never go off on your own.

 

 

3 Minute Drill

 The boy was enthralled with sports. He loved to play every sport there was out there. Soccer, hockey, tennis, basketball, baseball, you name it! The bad part was he was so into sports he never had enough time for his friends, so he didn't have many. When he played any of the sports, he got really cocky and always wanted to win. Also, when he tried to talk to some of his friends, they ignored him because he was a complete jerk. He just got into sports about 3 years ago too.

 He wasn't too happy the way his life was going now..He tried to be nice and quit some of the sports, but he just couldn't help himself. It's like being mean was in his blood. When he had quite all the sports he had nothing to do so he decided to jion some clubs a school to make more friends.

 He was having a fun time in the clubs and started making some friends. They started to hang out more but after a while he relised they were bad kids they broke into stores and skiped class. then he started to do to Join in those bad people so now he was one of those people all his friends where so suprised. they were thinking what got in him see you guy i knew we shouldn't of never ingroed him. now look at what got into  him. well after a few weeks.things started to get better for him some of his friend started hanging out with him again. Some of the bad kids started to get mad at his friends for getting him to stop hanging out with them becaue they had started to like him so they started a food fight in the school lunch and blamed his friends.

You are in the last month of 2010! Write about what you accomplished over the year and what you'd like to accomplish in the last month of 2010.

  This year, 2010, I have accomplished getting on the honor role. I also got the gym/health award. During the school year though, I got a citizenship award.

   In the summer, I went to camp with my friend Maddie and we made quite a few friends. Camp was amazing !
   
   When I went to Asessippi, I got better at snowboarding. There was this one run that I just couldn't make it down, I had to get off my board and walk most of it, but the next time I went I made it the whole way down, steady. I was so proud. 
  
   So far this year, during grade 8, I have gotten my work done 99.9% of the time. Also, I have read a few books. I am not a fan of reading books, but if I have to, and the book is interesting, then I will finish the book. Touching Spirit bear was a pretty good book, and I kind of want to read the sequel. 
  
   Another thing I have accomplished in 2010 would be.. changing. I am not AS shy, but I still am around certain people. Like when i'm around some of my best friends, I am like not stop talking and just in an active mood I guess you could say.
 
  Also, I went to a volleyball camp in Portage la Prairie and I would say I am much better than I was last year. I worked on my setting and bumping.
  
   Next would be getting a no scope on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It was awesome. They thought it was still my cousin, and the people talking were like "NICE!". I just said, it's not Evan. After the guy said it was just luck. I also got 2 kill streak which isn't that good, but for a first timer like me it was.
  
   I wish I could have accomplished more, but it's all good.


  Things I would like to accomplish in the last month of 2010?
 I would like to accomplish going to Asessippi on New Year's Eve with my best friend Maddie. Also I would like to spend lots of time while she is down for the holidays.
  
   Another thing would be possibly telling my friends how I really feel about things and hoping they would understand.
  
   Also, I want to have more sleepovers with my one of my friends because we like never hang out, unfortunatly.
  
   Next, would be to be a good basketball player because it's my most favourite sport out there. I don't know why, it's just so intense.

   I would also like to accomplish being more outgoing. I guess i'm kind of,not scared but like, I just don't want to be outgoing then people end up not liking me for who I am, but if people don't like me for me, then they are not real friends.
  
   I hope to accomplish more but that is all I can think of at the moment.
  2010 has been an alright year.

   

Halloween

 This Halloween was pretty sweet.

 Yes I did go trick or treating, like people say "Age is just a number"or "You're never told old".

 I was a nerd. I had pigtails, suspenders, short pants, and a bot tie. I got some comments from the peoples houses I went to for candy.

 That night, I got about half a pillow case of treats. There was lots of chocolate, quite a few bags of chips(I love chips), 3 pop can drinks, and 4 juice boxes.

 I still have not eaten all my candy yet, I still have more than half of it left. The candy I have eaten though was pretty great.

 This one guy's house I went to was awesome the way he had it set up. He was outside on his big driveway in a costume that was all black. Also, he had made a voodoo circle around him, I thought that was pretty sweet. I asked my friend if that person was real or not, and my friend said no. I told him that I was pretty sure it was. When we got closer to it, he moved. I kind of jumped because I wasn't all that sure either. He had to buckets beside him. The first one he lifted up said "SOULS". my friend and I were kidding around and just said "We already gave our souls away" Then he lifted the other bucket that had said "TREATS". So I thought his decorations for Halloween were pretty great.

 Next year I am going to sit in like the middle of my yard in a super scary costume or sit at my door. it would be fun to like scare people, but not little kids. Hopefully next year we will have more decorations though, they were kind of lame this year.

 I went to the haunted house in Brandon last weekend. It was awesome! I do wish it was longer though, but it looked like they put a lot of work into so I wouldn't ask them to do anymore. There was this guy in a clown mask, then he would tap on my shoulder and I turned around and he was right in my face so I jumped. Then after we kept going, there was this one little place, and there was this kid in a costume and he scared us. We didn't know if we had to keep going that way then he said "No" in a normal voice, it was funny. At the very end before you left, there was a girl in a bed screaming. She was screaming because this other person had a fake knife and was going to kill her. I would have loved to go again. Next year I hopefully can go.

 Before we went to the haunted house, we went to watch Paranormal Activity 2. It was a good movie. It was telling us what happened before the first one.

Story Review: The Life Of A Teenage Princess

 The Life Of A Teenage Princess was written by Rhyan.

Summary: This story was about a teenage princess who finds out she is a princess when she was 5 because she asks why people are always taking pictures of her and her parents finally decided to tell her.
  Then is goes to her being a teenager and she has a boyfriend. Her boyfriend asks her to marry him but she says no because they are only 17, but she keeps it as a promise ring.
 The princess is a cheerleader and they go to nationals with asll her friends and the one person she needed the most. Her boyfriend comes and surprises her.
 Then at the end the boyfriend asks her to marry her(again)and she says yes.

Plot: The plot is the life of a teenage princess. Also, her and her team go to nationals.

Setting: The setting is at school around summer time.

Conflict: The convflict of the story would be between 3 girls. One girl tells this other girl that she is fat and shou8ldn't be on the team so that girl quits. The the princess goes to teh girl that quit and said "just ignore her and forget what she said because you're not fat and come back on the team", so she does. Then the princess talks to the other girl that was being rude and said she was off teh team because she can't treat people like that and tell her lies. After the princess realized that she needed her so she begged her to come back on the team and she does.

My Opinion: I thought this story kept my interest. There was some conflict, then it got figured out. Also the cheerleading team went to nationals and won, so they wee so proud and everyone else was when they got back.

 However, I didn't really understand some parts of the story. One part was if her boyfriend actually cheated on her or not, it didn't really say. Otherwise, I thought it was a good story and well planned out.

My Overall Rating: My overall rate would be a 4 maybe a 3.5. The only reason I rate it that out of 5 is because I couldn't understand some of the story.

 It was a good story and I hope she keeps up teh good story writing.

 

Karate Kid 1 and a 1/2 Review

I am going to review four of my classmates puppet show they made. Their characters names were Qwandi, Margaret, Mr.Jamal, and Cornelius. This was a choice assignment for E.L.A. and they made the script themselves.

I would have to say that this puppet, Karate Kid 1 and a 1/2, kept me very entertained. I laughed the whole time. The voices they used made it better I would have to say.
They kept it going and it flowed well together. I also liked how they used a corn puppet for Cornelius. Another thing I enjoyed was when they were doing the training because Mr. Jamal's voice was hilarious. Also, I liked how Qwandi said Margaret was the prettiest girl in Africa but she was really ugly and when they kiss at the end was funny. Last thing would have to be how they set it up.

One thing they could have maybe improved on was to speak louder. Also more time to work on scenery even though it was good they had that instead of just a table or something.

I showed my mom the video, she could not stop laughing and she said she really enjoyed it. She said it was well put together also.

Otherwise I thought their played was hilarious and awesome. I think they should perform it again at the assembly if possible and to maybe make another puppet show. Last thing was maybe they could have changed their backgrounds.

Animal Instincts

  I have been assigned to talk about which animals I think suits me best. I would have to say a penguin does. I say that because I take life in its stride, not letting the big issues of the world stand in my way. I like spending time with large groups of friends and may be considered a bit of a socialite jumping back and forth between different groups of friends. I also like to stay active. However, I still have time for my family and remain close to them.

Splice

  Splice is a science-fiction horror movie and I am going to talk about it.
  
 There was this young scientist couple whose names are Clive and Elsa want to combine human DNA with animal genes. The company they work for is called N.E.R.D(Nucleic Exchange Research & Development) and the company forbids it. The couple secretly do their own experiments and blend the animal and human DNA together.


 Clive and Elsa disagree on actually bringing the creature alive but Elsa pushes the issue and she persuades Clive to go along with it, but still in secrecy.

 They name their creature Dren(nerd spelled backwards). Dren grows and learns at a normal rate and Elsa moves her to her late mom's farm.

 The had this meeting with the company showing them the one female and the one male that fall in love, but Clive and Elsa had gotten distracted in the making, and they were both males. During this meeting the two males killed each other in front of everyone and led to a disaster. Following this meeting, N.E.R.D., found itself in danger of going out of business unless they could find a profitable discovery.

 Meanwhile, Dren had become amphibious and omnivorous with sting that was toxic and retractable wings that came out of part of her arm and back. Elsa had formed a bond with Dren, but she changes her mind because she shows violent behavior, killing her own cat randomly and assaulting her. She cuts off her stinger and fixes it all up.

 Soon after, Clive feels attracted to Dren after she has shown lots of affection for him. Elsa walks in and shows lots of disgust and Dren had revealed that her stinger has grown back. Elsa and Clive get in an argument about him cheating on her. When he confronts her, he had seemed to know that she used her own DNA on Dren. After deciding to go back to the farm to deal with her, they find out that she her dead body in the tank of water.

 They bury her near the farmhouse but before they leave, there boss from the company shows up. He had found out they used some sort of human DNA that was present in the protein. Elsa suggests that she can dig up Dren's body if he really wants to see it. Suddenly they were attacked by Dren because she wasn't actually dead, but apparently she was in some kind of coma that she turns into a male. After killing her boss and Clive's brother, Dren drags Clive into a freezing pond. Elsa pulls him out, but he is unconscious, so Elsa runs away. Dren finds her and violates her. As Dren is violating Elsa, Clive comes to the rescue,stabbing Dren with a large sharp branch. Dren kills Clive with a toxic sting, but is dealt a fatal blow by Elsa when she smashes his head with a rock.

 Later on, Elsa is in the office of the company's and is given a huge amount of money to take the experiment to the "next level". Then the company thanks her. Elsa stands up and reveals to be pregnant.

 That was pretty much the whole movie right there and my thoughts on this movie were, well, some parts should not have been in her, but otherwise I thought it was a pretty good horror film.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

 I am a teenage girl and I am a big fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. I started to like this team in about the middle of the last season they played. My step-dad got me into them and I think they are pretty amazing. I have been to 5 games and I plan on going to more. I really hope they win the Grey Cup this year if they play as well as they did their last game or just have an amazing come back
 Steven Jyles is an amazing quarterback and the last game against BC Lions was a great comeback because of Jyles. Fred Reid, the running back for the Blue Bombers, was a great help also.
 I think everyone on that team is good and every game that they should play their absolute best and they could make it far. I am hoping to go to the next game.
 Thats all I have to say, for now. I woulod just like to say it's pretty awesome being a teenage girl that lvoes the Blue Bombers. They are awesome! 

Turkey For Everyone .

 I think I am going to talk about my thanksgiving weekend. Well first thing is I hung out with Larissa Friday which was pretty awesome. We watched Macgruber. I love that movie! It is my favourite of like all time. All we did after the movie was say lines from it and we couldn't stop laughing over them.

 On Saturday, my cousin Jordan, BreAnne, Eric, and Evan spent the night. That day we went to the pumpkin patch which was pretty good, but very hot. They also need some more activities for the kids to do. One of my otehr friends came to the pumpkin patch too.

 Then on Sunday, we had our Thanksgiving supper. It was pretty delicious I would have to say. We had turkey, potatoes, meatballs, salad, dressing, and vegetables. Then that night, Jordan went home, but BreAnne, Eric, and Evan stayed the night again because the next day they were going home. My other cousin Shanna also stayed the night.

 The last day of my Thanksgiving weekend, I went to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers game. I went with my step-dad Brad, his brother Justin, and my friend Nick. We regret leaving with 4 minutes of the game left, but we didn't think they would come back. They were losing 32-11 and like half of the people that were there left so we did too. So, we were going to drop Justin off and my mom calls and says "They're tied!" and we thought she was just pulling our leg. Then we turn on the radio and the announcer says, "It's a tied game and what a come back for the bombers". We were so shocked! Brad is rushing to get to Justin's so we can watch the rest of the game because they went into overtime. That doesn't happen very often in football. He turns on the TV and we watch the game. Bombers win 47-35, what an amazing game. Beasly seals the deal with an amazing snatch and a touchdown.

 I can not believe they won the game. The had Alex Brink in and he wasn't making any good passes, but once they put Steven Jyles in. He helped them win the game.

Top Ten

    I am to write about anything thats my top ten. I chose to write about my ten top songs that I like.

1. Perfect-Hedley is a good song because it like tells me a story. It kind of says a little bit my life.

2. Old School-Hedley is an AMAZING song because it makes me think about things but I just love this song.




3. Dynamite-Taio Cruz is a good song because Taio Cruz is an awesome singer and it's a good song to like sing along to.

4. We're Not Gonna Take It-Twisted Sister is a good song because it is catchy.

5. In My Head-Jason Derulo is a pretty sweet song because, well i just like to listen to it. Jason Derulo is a good singer and has good music.

6. Billie Jean-Michael Jackson. I chose this Billie Jean because it's an amazing song, you can dance to it and Michael Jackson was just awesome.

7. Man In The Mirror- Michael Jackson is kind of a sad song but it's still good to just listen to when you want to hear some of Michael Jackson.






8. Ice Ice Baby- Vanilla is a good song because the lyrics are funny to listen to.

9. I'm Gonna Party Like A Rockstar- JTX. I like this song because it is also catchy and some of the lyrics are funny.

10. California Gurls- Katy Perry. This song was very popular and I have this song as my ringtone. The lyrics are funny and the video is kind of weird, but I like this song.
 

Highlight and Low Light .

well in this post I am too write about my highlights and low lights this September. well my low light would be that i no longer have two of my best friends. which really sucks because i miss hanging out with them but they really hurt me. my mom has been helping me through this so i hope her advice has been working. 
another low light would be the last Winnipeg blue bombers game against Montreal. Winnipeg was playing amazing, but the ref kept picking on them and calling everything on them and not Montreal. which made like everyone very mad. so of course, they lost the game. then in the Winnipeg free press, they wrote about the refs and that the one call they made was wrong and they should of had the game. i was like wow. but then they were still in the play-offs because they was a cross over. i think they lost against BC though but i heard from, someone that they might be still in, so i think i am going to the game this weekend.

my highlight of September would be, well, I am not too sure. i did well on  my math test. also i got to play in the volleyball tournament on the weekend even though i didn't get to play that much. i just hope things will get better and ya. another highlight would be i am hanging out with Larissa tomorrow. the last one would be is that i think i am going to the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday.  

wowza'

well this week and some of last week wasn't so great because i found out two of my best friends, aren't really my BEST friends and i have no clue what to do right now. Larissa and i have been talking about stuff and helping each other out so it's been alright i guess. she was been a good friend to me through this. and im here for her too. my mom has been really great help through this, she ALWAYS knows what to say and she gives good advice.
  everyone should be happy for who they are and nobody should want anyone to change because if they don't like the way you are for YOU, then they're not a true friend.

but any who, school has been going alright. i wish we had more enrichment classes. . . but ya, im in home ec this term and it's been fun, we made a breakfast and is was delicious.

i don't really know what to talk about at the moment so i will write more posts next time.

Get Your Heeead In Tha Game .

hey, i think i'm goin to talk about basketball a little bit.
well i think i have mentioned it in one of my other posts but my favourite sport would be basketball, i don't know why but it can get so intense.
B-ball can be a tiring sport though cause like normally you're ALWAYS running. i played guard last year and it was pretty fun. i'm going to go in basketball again this year, and of course volleyball and badminton, but yah, basketball for sure.
people on the team don't need to get down on themselves when we play though, lol it's just a game and if you tried then thats what matters and they also don't need to take it out on others or even get mad at others when they make a mistake.  i try my best and also i dont get down on myself. you've got ONE SHOT[and others] so make it your best.

Watcha Say .

well I'm just going jump right in to this but i like to play sports. I love basketball, it is one of my favorite sports out there, i wrote a story in ELA about a basketball game.
i also love volleyball, it's a pretty cool sport I'd have to say. the team I'm on, they have some power especially Adrienne,  holy smokes ![powerhouse] she is like my best friend :) she is funny, and yah she is sweet.
but the other girls have power too, like whoa.
i like to play badminton too. Last year i played mixed and like well i don't rock at it but i can hit it.
so ya i like to stay active because there's no sense just sitting home or somewhere on the computer all day or watch TV when you have outside to be .
winter is coming soon ! winter is the best . i like to snowboard , i'm not that great but like i can get down without falling at a decent speed and winter is much better than summer because it's nice and cold :) .
